FMCSA granting Emergency TA's
 
FMCSA is granting Emergency Temporary Authorities (ETA) good for 120 days. Here's are the steps for an applicant to obtain the temporary authority:

Complete OP-1 (add Emergency / Hurricane IKE to top of application)
Fax to FMCSA licensing at 202-366-3477
Fee will be waived when MC number assignment
No protest period
Insurance and BOC-3 must be filed
Pencil the MC assignment to the OP-1
Prepare cover letter and mail original application with carrier’s signature to
FMCSA Licensing Team, 1200 New Jersey Ave SE, Washington, DC 20590
